THE DEATH OF THE LAST BLACK MAN IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD by Suzan-Lori Parks
The video design for Suzan-Lori Parks’s Death of the Last Black Man In The Whole Entire World used visual references from television and media to show the ties between the abstract script and historical references. Text was incorporated into the video to emphasize the use of ebonics in the text. Content was created using Final Cut Pro and IMovie. Qlab was used to run two control feeds on textured surfaces; including a wall made of horizontal ropes and wood panels.
